On behalf of our customers we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) in the greater Cologne area as part of our service of direct personnel placement.

Your tasks:

Responsible for the general ledger accounting of a defined business unit
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB/IFRS
Reconciliation of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
Management of asset accounting and provisions
Participation in audits and addressing tax-related matters
Continuous process optimization in the accounting area

Your Profile:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or comparable commercial training
Several years of experience in general ledger accounting
Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
Fluent in both English and German
A structured and analytical approach to work with a high degree of responsibility
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
